LP and The Vinyl

High Fidelity Jazz

🗓️ Friday, February 27 at 7:30PM
📍 The Monarch

Charismatic singer Leonard Patton wears his heart on his sleeve, and acclaimed Danny Green Trio plays without safety nets. When they come together to form LP and The Vinyl, the result is “an embarrassment of riches”: tight arrangements, boundless improvisation, and seemingly telepathic interplay (San Diego Troubadour). Drawing influences from jazz, R&B, and rock, LP and The Vinyl beautifully reimagines hits by artists like Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and David Bowie, breathes new life into jazz standards, and creates original songs of their own. From the Telluride Jazz Festival to classrooms nationwide, this quartet of fearless players and music educators leave audiences craving more. With their virtuosic connections and raw emotions on display, LP and The Vinyl will light up Ogden and The Monarch.
